Definition of poetry

For me, art is the twin sister of self-realisation, whether the artist is aware of it or not or whether he or she agrees with it or not.

Art is born from the passionate perseverance of looking by means of beauty for the answer to the essential questions-who am I, what is the world, and what is the relationship between the two, a being and the world? Art gives us an answer that is not intellectual but comes from life and experience, from being and living. Poetry is one of the forms of this passion expressed in words. This passion can occasionally seem quiet, unhampered with questions, serene, innocent, and almost chaste. But inside it there is a noble madness and yearning for the explosion of knowledge through direct experience. It does not matter that rules and traditions contradict it.
