Thoughts and Reflections

It is human madness that now and then makes me shrink with fear. It is the madness of the Earth that now and then makes me shrink with fear. And in my opinion and my experience, these two kinds of madness are in alliance, closely connected.

Human madness–hatred and fury and the inventing and savoring of evil and greed–provokes the insanity of the Earth. It moves through the same channels as does thought energy when it moves, destroys or changes matter. Human madness causes the insanity of the Earth–earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, new viruses, and known and unknown clashes of energy currents. These two kinds of madness go hand in hand, until they reach the final (zero) point, and if something distracts them in their march, it is our fearlessness and our prayer.

My primary fear is the fear of making a mistake, such as not giving in or not acting, or leaving here the same or even smaller than when I came. I do not want to say on my departure that it would have been different if I had been more prepared and had more willpower.
